The Avon 120 (previously the Norfolk) has been specifically designed to suit the weight and body shapes of plus-size patients. Effective pressure redistribution is combined with patient stability as the castellated surface supports immersion whilst the u-shaped core provides stability during patient transfers.
Provides effective pressure redistribution with castellations to the foam surface which helps the foam to conform to the patient’s body and increase the surface area in contact with the mattress, through immersion and envelopment.
Vulnerable areas are protected via smaller castellations at the head and foot of the patient and larger castellations at the torso, which support the smaller and larger bony prominences.
Supports infection prevention and control, using a premium skin kind, water-resistant, multi-stretch, vapour permeable cover material that ensures a robust defence against water ingress and bacteria.
