Infection Prevention & Control

To ensure that infection prevention and control policies are met and patients and care staff are as protected as possible, we utilise JLAs OTEX washing systems for the washing of all our mattress covers. The OTEX system is the gold standard in laundry processes for care environments. It has been proven to kill 99.999% of viruses and bacteria in laundry, while removing all traces of Coronavirus. The system washes at low temperature with opportunities to save energy by up to 80% on hot water, 60% on electricity, 35% on gas and 45% on water consumption – supporting our Corporate Social Responsibility efforts and drive for carbon efficiency. As well as boasting green credentials, the OTEX system meets the Department of Health HTM01-04 standards and is recognised by the Rapid Review Panel as meeting standards for RRP1.
